I cannot verify my ID as I do not have photo ID

During the referencing process, your agent may request your ID. Through Canopy, you can not only supply your ID but this will also be verified through our partner, IDnow.

If your agent needs you to complete this on your RentPassport™, they will send you a request and we will notify you via email and in the app.

If you are not sure whether your form of ID is sufficient please review the full list of acceptable ID by clicking here.

If you do not have any form of photo ID, you still must complete this section. Please follow the steps below to complete this section on your RentPassport™.

Step 1:
Log into your RentPassport™ and select "ID verification" and click "Start Identity check".

Step 2:

Select "I do not have a Photo ID".

Please note: If you have a photo ID, it is best to verify this as not validating your photo ID may delay your tenancy application.

Step 3:

Now you will need to provide some information to your agent explaining why you are not able to supply a photo ID. They will review this information in line with your referencing report for your tenancy application.

Step 4:

Once you have completed all these steps we will reflect the information on your RentPassport™ so your agent can assess this.
