Joint screening is an easy way to manage multiple renters as a group. If you are renting a property to several people, this is a way to keep all of their RentPassports™ in one place. If the renters have guarantors you can also keep their RentPassports™ here. This is an easy way to see if the renters, collectively, meet the affordability of the property and you can access all of their RentPassports™ quickly and easily.
Follow the steps below to set up a joint screening.
Log on to your Canopy HQ account and select 'Joint Screening' on the left hand side of the page.
On the Joint Screening page, select 'Add Joint Screening'.
Name the Joint Screening - This should be the property address. You will then need to select the branch, the rent frequency (weekly or monthly) and enter the rent amount.
Select 'Add Renter' and in the pop up box enter the renter's email address. If they have already shared their RentPassport™ with you, you will be able to select their email. If not, you can request them to share by selecting 'Invite a new renter' and entering their email address.
Once you have added all of your renters you will see the below screen. You can then enter their rent share and will be able to see if their affordability meets this.
If any of the renters require a guarantor you can request this from their RentPassport™ page. You will then need to add the guarantor to the joint screening.
Once this has been done you have completed your Joint Screening. You will be able to access the RentPassports™ and make sure the tenants meet the affordability.
