Hiscox Policy Renewal
Due to changes in our business Canopy now have a new policy provider with Swiss Re, this means we are unable to process renewals with Hiscox however tenant's are able to purchase a new policy with our new DepositFree™ Insurance provider Swiss Re.
If a tenant has previously purchased DepositFree™ Insurance with our Hiscox Policy (DepositFree™ Insurance purchased before July 2019) and are looking to renew, please see the following information on how to create a new DepositFree™ Insurance policy.
Please be aware if you no longer wish to use Canopy HQ, we cannot offer DepositFree™ Insurance as you will need to process and manage this through our systems.
How can a Tenant purchase DepositFree™ Insurance again?
- The tenant will firstly need to have a fully completed and up to date RentPassport™ and meet the criteria for purchasing DepositFree™ Insurance. Learn more.
- Providing they have met the criteria for purchasing DepositFree™ Insurance you will now need to ensure you have a Canopy HQ Account whereby you can send a DepositFree™ Agreement.

- Once you have sent this invitation, the tenant will be provided with the option to purchase a new policy.
