How to complete Full Screening on your RentPassport™
Canopy referencing is comprised of two sections. Instant Screening which includes Income/Rent Verification, Credit Check and Rental Preferences and Full Screening which includes an Employer and Landlord reference. You will only be required to complete Full Referencing along with your Instant Referencing if your Agent/Landlord requests this.
This article will assist you in completing this section.
Employer Reference
Step 1:
Firstly, you will need to select the Employer Reference, near the bottom of your RentPassport™, and enter your employment details.
Step 2:
Next, you will need to enter your referee's details, which must include their name, job title and work email address and contact number. Please ensure you use their business contact details, as we will not be able to verify reference provided through personal contact details.
Step 3:
Once you have completed this, a reference request will be sent to your employer with a link to our digital referencing form.

Landlord Reference
Step 1:
Firstly, you will need to select the Landlord Reference section on your RentPassport™.
If you have not rented in the last 3 years please select this option which will then be reflected on your RentPassport™ and no further steps will be required. If you have rented in the last 3 years please select 'yes' and continue.
Step 2:
You will now need to add the details of the property you are currently renting.
Step 3:
Next, you will need to enter the landlord or agents details. This will include their name, phone number and email address.
Step 4:
Once you have completed this, a reference request will be sent to your landlord/agent with a link to our digital referencing form.

After a reference has been submitted, our referencing team will review this to ensure this matches the details you have provided.
