By creating an account with Canopy you can do a variety of things.
Firstly, in a few simple steps, you can create your own RentPassport® which contains all your referencing details, this can then be shared with your landlord/agent to assist you in renting your property quick.

Your RentPassport® is not only used for referencing but allows you to utilise our financial and credit-building tools such as RentTacking which tracks your rent and improves your credit history.

Step 1:
Firstly, download the Canopy App from your App Store on the device you are using. Our app is available on both the Apple Store and Google Play.

If you would prefer to access our app using a web browser you can do so here.

If an agent/landlord has requested a RentPassport®, you will receive an email with a link to our website.

Step 2:
Once you have accessed our main sign-in page on your device, select 'Create Account'.
Please carefully read our Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions. Click 'Accept' if you are happy to proceed.

Step 3:
Now you will be required to enter the following:

  • Your full legal name as this will be a part of accessing your credit profile through Experian.

  • The email address that you would like to be affiliated with your account. If you have given an agent/landlord an email address, it is best to use the same one.

  • A password that you will use to log into your account. Please be aware this password must contain at least 8 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.

You will also have the option to opt into Canopy marketing email to keep up-to-date with Canopy news.

Step 4:
Now. that you have entered your details, you are now required to verify your email address. A verification email should directly have been sent to your inbox, please check your email inbox and follow the instructions.

If you have not received the verification email, please ensure to check your junk/spam folder.

Options to resend the verification email or change the email address. There is also an option to resend the verification email on the App. Furthermore, if you have entered your email address incorrectly there is an option to change the email address on this page.

Once you have received the link please click "Verify email". This should then redirect you back to Canopy to sign in.

Don't forget to share your RentPassport® with your agent in order for them to see your referencing report.

TOP TIP:

If you have not received the verification email, please check your junk mail/spam folder. If you have still not successfully received the email try resetting your password as this will allow you to log in.
